Growing up in DC, I experienced the challenges of poverty, limited mentorship, and few opportunities. Those experiences inspired me to create a safe, empowering space for youth and women to learn, grow, and build self-sufficient futures.

Personal Development
We believe growth begins from within. Through workshops, mentorship, and reflective exercises, participants learn to build confidence, set goals, and embrace their identities with pride. Our programs nurture emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and discipline—creating a foundation for lifelong success.
Financial Literacy
Financial freedom is a key step toward self-sufficiency. We teach participants how to manage money wisely through budgeting, saving, credit education, and investing. Beyond knowledge, we focus on empowerment—helping youth and women develop healthy financial habits that build stability and generational wealth.
College & Career Readiness
We equip participants with the tools to transition confidently into higher education and the professional world. Through college prep sessions, career exploration, résumé building, and etiquette training, we ensure they are prepared to compete and lead in any environment. We don’t just prepare them for opportunities—we help them create them.
Entrepreneurship
We encourage participants to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses that reflect their passions and purpose. From developing business plans to pitching and launching ventures, we guide them through every stage of the process. Our approach cultivates creativity, leadership, and ownership—empowering participants to become changemakers in their communities.

Program Coordinator
Oversees the planning and facilitation of YBFE’s programs and workshops. Ensures each session provides participants with hands-on learning, mentorship, and the resources needed to reach their personal and professional goals.
Operations & Administrative Support Specialist
Builds and nurtures relationships with schools, organizations, and sponsors. Leads outreach initiatives, community collaborations, and volunteer engagement to strengthen YBFE’s presence and expand its impact.
